Susanna loves books and educational technology, and enjoys teaching and learning about both with students and teachers. She has been a school librarian for five years and loves working with the students and staff at the Sustainability Academy!
Susanna has a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Simmons College. Currently she is a student in Vermont College of Fine Arts' MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults and looks forward to sharing what she learns about reading and writing with students and staff. Susanna is also a member of the Dorothy Canfield Fisher book committee, and will be reading many boxes of books to help create the kid's choice reading list for grades 4-8.
Strangely enough, it was Susanna's work at Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center in Ohio that made her want to become a school librarian, which is just another reason she is so excited to be working at the Sustainability Academy.
